The following flyer was submitted by Thomas W.
Brown of MaryvilleCityGuide in Maryville, Missouri.
Flyer's actual size is 8 1/2" wide by 11 1/2" high. It was created with WordPerfect8 using 2
documents, one for the larger (upper) part and the second for the tear off tabs at the bottom.
These will be placed anywhere that has a public bulletin board. First I print the upper part of the
flyer then instert the page in the printer and print the lower (tabs) part, which has been spaced
to print at the bottom. The "tabs" portion of the page was created using Landscape page setting and
a simple table for the tear off tabs. After printing I use scissors to cut between each tab so they
can be easily torn off by the interested party. You'll note that my scanner cut off a bit of the
tabs on the right site but I get 18 tabs per flyer. I haven't yet gotten a color printer so this is
totally in black & white. consequently I print them on a high visibility paper such as
goldenrod, yellow, pink, etc. A bright florescent paper is best. Simple but effective. I put the
URL of my site on the main part of the flyer so that if all the tabs are taken, before I can put up
a new one, then they can write it down. I also added a line just above the tab "Powered By
CityAmerica" plus a redirect URL that points to my afilliate site, this just in case someone gets
nosey they just might sign up for a city site. This will probably only work best in a college or
military town or perhaps in a tourist area. I use a redirect URL because it's shorter and prevents
someone from bypassing my affiliate site. |
